Polk County Arrest History
Polk County arrests may begin with the Sheriff's Office, Amery Police Department, Osceola Police Department, St. Croix Falls Police Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, Wisconsin DNR, or another authorized agency. The officer's agency creates and keeps the event or arrest report. A later transfer to the Polk County Jail does not transfer custody of a city police report to the Sheriff. - Request the event report from the arresting agency. For a Sheriff event, use the online form, phone, fax, mail, email delivery route, or the Suite 900 counter.
- Search WCCA by name and Polk County for filed charges, allowing time for the prosecutor's filing. Read every count and outcome.

Polk County Roster Versus Bookings
The weekly report and current roster answer two distinct questions. The booking report asks who entered the jail during its rolling report window and what statute description was recorded then. The roster asks who was in custody when that PDF was generated. Someone can remain in the weekly report after release but disappear from the current roster. Another person may appear on the roster because of an older booking that has already rolled off the weekly report.
The roster has no name box, filter, sort control, login, export, or search button. Browser Find or a manual scan is the practical route. It shows age, jail ID, booking time, and a statute-and-description charge table. It does not provide bond, release reason, arresting agency, court date, housing unit, or final outcome. If one of those fields matters, call the Polk County Jail, search WCCA, or request the originating report rather than filling the gap with an assumption.
Booking Logs and Recent Arrests
Polk County's official recent-arrest sources are the two Sheriff PDFs. They are free, but their dates and limits must be read each time. The weekly report shows a report range and run date. The inmate roster carries a generated timestamp and page number. Neither is a historical archive or a complete Polk County arrest-history search. An absence can reflect release, transfer, a noncustodial event, an old booking, or simple timing.

The jail is a 160-bed facility within the Justice Center. It holds pre-sentence and sentenced people in maximum, medium, and minimum classifications, but current custody still should not be confused with a conviction record.
Polk County Arrests Reach Wisconsin
A reportable Polk County arrest can reach the Wisconsin Crime Information Bureau when the arresting agency submits the designated fingerprint-supported cycle. The county booking file is separate from that state submission. If the prosecutor later files charges, CCAP sends the final court disposition and sentence information to the Wisconsin Department of Justice when the case closes. Arrests Are Not Convictions
An arrest shows that an agency took enforcement action and, in a custodial case, that the jail recorded an intake. A conviction is a court result on a filed count. The prosecutor may decline the intake allegation, amend it, or file a different charge. A filed count may then be dismissed, result in an acquittal, or end in conviction. That path is why the booking description must not be reported as the final result.
